Marafiki facilitates collaboration through cultural exchange with artists and designers in the United States and Kenyan youth, community groups and artists in Kenya to produce textiles and works of art that can be sold in the global marketplace.

We reinforce cooperation between cultural, industrial, and agricultural community members by expanding into the community to work with people with specialty skills: knitters, weavers, printers, dyers, textile manufacturers, designers, artists and agriculturalists. For example, cotton growers and sheep farmers develop the raw goods for production, thereby creating opportunities for renewable sources of income.
